I love being a career counselor because I get to help students figure out who they are and write the next chapter of their career story. I have dedicated my career to helping others and have been working in human services for more than twenty years. Read the rest of my bio here.
I am fortunate enough to be one of the first individuals whom our students come into contact with. As an admissions counselor, I assist students with selecting a program and help them through the admissions process. There is nothing more satisfying than having the opportunity to support and encourage applicants as they are beginning or continuing their journey.
In the movie of your life, who would play you? Charlize Theron. I think that she is an amazing actress, and she is an activist for some of the things that I believe strongly in.
If I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be pizza! Who can possibly become tired of pizza?
What is a random fact about you that not many people know about? I am an adrenaline junkie. I have bungee jumped, gone sky diving, love roller coasters, and very much enjoy cruising on my motorcycle. I have, however, toned things down significantly since the birth of my daughter.
In the Office of Student Aid, I’m a resource for prospective and current World Campus and Continuing Education students who want to learn about their financial aid options or troubleshoot issues that arise in aid processing.
If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be…Dark chocolate everything.
My favorite movie is…The Dark Knight. Batman is awesome.
What is your favorite thing to do in State College? Eat! I work remotely from California, but when visiting I love Lychee Resto and My Thai.
As a student communications assistant, I create content for the blog and printed/online materials, interview students and staff members for profiles and coordinate the mailing of motivational items to our students.
Before I die, I’m going to spearhead a comeback of 80s music (without the clothes or hair styles).
If you could be any animal, which would you be and why? Based on the life our spoiled Pug (Pepper) has, I would definitely want to be a Pug!
What is a random fact about you that not many people know about? I was knocked over by Donald Trump in the lobby of the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.
I work in the Learning Design unit of World Campus as an instructional production specialist, where we are responsible for the innovation and production of high-quality online courses. I am involved with various projects in our unit as well as across Outreach. I also participate in many social networking and learning communities!
What super hero power would you most like to have and why? Teleportation — I have always loved to travel, and this would be a “super” way to beat the lines at the airports!
If I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Peachy Paterno ice cream!
What was your favorite TV show growing up? American Bandstand! Love to dance!
As records manager in Student Enrollment Services at World Campus, I am responsible for 16 records specialists. Student Enrollment Services assists students with scheduling classes, gaining access to courses, and provides help with finding suitable proctors. We walk students through our website and explain how to pay semester bills, schedule exams, discuss instructor issues, and provide a wealth of other information to students. We enjoy providing exceptional customer service to our World Campus students.
In the movie of your life who would play you? I’d love for it to be someone sweet like Betty White, but it would probably end up being Roseanne Arnold.
If I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Granny Smith apples!
What is a random fact about you that not many people know about? I would love to be an actress in a sitcom!
Working with World Campus student communications, I manage the Corner of College and Allen blog. I also work with our social media, through which we make sure you receive important and interesting information.
Before I die, I’m going to write a novel or hike through the Amazon (and make it out in one piece).

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why? A dolphin, so I could get away with making annoying sounds all the time. And they are smart.
As one of the technicians at the World Campus HelpDesk, I work with students who need assistance with the technology side of taking online courses and help students navigate through technological hurdles.
If you could be any animal, which would you be and why? A wolf — they are noble, loyal, and fiercely protective.
If I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be El Campesino’s (a Mexican restaurant in the Pennsylvania area) Chile Verde.
What was your favorite TV show growing up? Bugs Bunny
As an enrollment services specialist with the Admissions Services team, I provide preadmission counseling, share information about the World Campus, and help prospective students navigate the admissions process as quickly and easily as possible.
What was your favorite TV show growing up? Where I grew up, the only station that we could receive was a public television station. I loved anything on Masterpiece Theater, Nova, and Mystery.
What is a random fact about you that not many people know about? I make a mean caramel cake. My Southern mother is quite proud of me.
What super hero power would you most like to have and why? I don’t want any of her super powers, but I wouldn’t mind looking like Wonder Woman. Is that too much to ask?
Before I die, I’m going to become a swim coach.
