Penn State World Campus Blue & White Society Chapter

Shawna Culp, Penn State World Campus Blue & White Society Adviser

I am thrilled to share that over the past several months, we’ve been working to establish a Blue & White Society chapter at Penn State World Campus. The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association, and all World Campus students are invited to join!

Benefits of membership include:

  • have access to networking opportunities using the Alumni Association’s online directory
  • receive a limited-edition Blue & White Society T-shirt each year
  • get a 10% discount at any Penn State Bookstore (excluding textbooks and computer merchandise)
  • strengthen your connection to Penn State

How Do You Join?

To join, you must be a currently enrolled student. The cost of membership for World Campus students is $20 per year. You can join online with a credit card or by charging your annual dues to your student account. You can also join by phone by calling 800-548-LION, option 1.

Nominations for the World Campus Blue & White Society Executive Board

To finalize our chapter, we need to develop an Executive Board — a core group of student leaders who will play a critical role in our current and future success.

If you’re an active member of the Blue & White Society and you’re currently registered for classes, now is your chance to nominate yourself (or nominate a friend) for an exciting leadership position on our inaugural World Campus Blue & White Society Executive Board.  The nomination deadline is April 10, 2011 at midnight (Eastern Time).

The Executive Board will consist of five positions that will provide governance for the organization, establish an agenda of goals, plan events, track our success, provide feedback, and so much more.

The positions include:

After all of the nominations have been received, we will be holding elections. We will be sharing more information about this in the coming weeks!

Please note: campaigning for positions will begin after the nomination period closes.
